Someone invited me ( from a poetry site) I joined ( for a giggle) Never did see the person who had invited me in the first place ever again. The first people to greet me was Nusalor ( I think that is how he spelt it) and SheNerd.

I believe it was Poohbear that welcomed me. But I was on POF and got so sick and tired of trying to have fun by posting on the forums and either they were voted to be deleted because they were considered promoting "chat threads" (what's that all about?) or people were so snide and rude with their remarks it just made me not want to say anything. Did a search for dating sites and JSH came up. Joined, and a day later found out it was going to 1+U (course that didn't last long either) So glad I found this site. It's so much fun, not to mention the fun and friendly people who respect your opinion and don't criticize you for it!

It was a little under a year ago, and I got on here after googling dating sites. I must say, there are some very interesting characters here, to say the least, lol! And I`m going to be on the forums more now too.

I joined because someone on another site mentioned it and I thought I'd check it out. I don't remember who first greeted me, though.

My friends told me about this site, and I joined over a year ago. I think the first people to welcome me were buttons & zeroeffected.

Teddy you were one of my 1st friends here on JSH too!

Tigerman told me to check it out, we were buds on another writing type site...

And I'm glad I did! Some great folks and laughs (not to mention the most bizarre!!) here to be had by all!

I had logged on for a few minutes the first time, an IM popped up, well I didn't know what it was...I said yes...and we became each other's first 'friends' here, Nice guy right up the road from me.

Of course, I didn't think I'd stick around...hence the lack of a unique user name...gotta admit it was not my most creative thought ever

Cholie the Pope, wasn't he and SheNerd a screech with their Friday confession spot, her and that flaming monkey, the "Doc" was also part of that crazy crowd, so was Tulip and her side kick, LOL, those were crazy fun times!

a lot of my friends got kicked off another site, so we all came here.

I think it was October 2006 when I lived in MI. I didn't pay this site much attention until I moved to AZ. Once I started checking out the profiles, I got hooked. I don't remember what the topic was, but something caught my attention in the forums, so I posted.

The first person to welcome me was, I think Catch me if u can. Then some how I met Rapunzell and she really brought me out of my shell. There has been quite a few since then that have brought me further out of my shell.
