I was just going to say.sleep with the poor little guy....

they only grow up and u miss up..

and like u said parents already spoiled him..

my 1 son slept with me til he was 18 months...actually would wake in the night....all because I rocked and sang to him til he fell asleep when he was an infant..

he is a marine noww...

my youngest would come to my bed til he was 7....

he also is independent..and going to college for criminal justice..

so don't fret....sleep with him....

i agree

Same thing works wonders for me with humming..the vibration of your chest is more important that what you hum.

I have had some kids respond quickly to a foot massage with all the lights out and the tv on a news channel...volume low. The murmuring of anchor voices is sleepy making. happy

Car ride works well with many, I play classical music and put a window down a bit for fresh air, but not too breezy if the weather is nice.

on how to convince a 9 month old that he really needs to go to sleep?

Am keeping my grandson and we both have to be up and on the road by 6:30. His 'dida' is in hospital due to a work-related injury.

try a 2 month old that wants to play and i have to go to work in five hourssad laugh

really i think its cause of the tempo and tone of the heart beat added with the soothing back rub its always worked for me i picked that lil tid bit up from my dad he used to do that with all us kids and our kids when we had them my pop was a good dad and great at getting the lil ones to bed everything i learned i learned from him so he gets all the credit there.

Okay I think hw is about ready to give it up for the night. Gonna put him in bed with me and hope he doesn't roll or crawl off the edge. One knot on the noggin per 24 hrs is enough...lol.
Nite all and thanks for the suggestions.
