With me, it meant that they had hurt me so long and so bad that I didn't
want to keep trying by myself to make it work. With my last ex, I still love him for who he used to be, for everything he was for me and did for me in the past, when I needed him. But he quit trying, he wanted me to do everything, and I did. I couldn't keep giving without receiving, I just gave out. |

Well, in my case I can say that I don’t love my ex, but yes, I do care somehow for him. After all he is the father of my children and anything that happens to him will affect my children. This is not a feeling of love per say, is more like caring for thy neighbor. |
