If it's between two guys, I'd say if one of them was beating up on a girl, or trying to rape her...then that could warrant using physical force by the other man to stop him.

Pretty much I don't have a very offensive attitude, but if someone screws with my family or friends the wrong way me fists will be there. |

I agree with Auburn, the only time it is acceptable for men to use their fists is in defense of a woman who is being physically harrassed by another man.
Two women can cat fight at anytime and that's acceptable. They don't even need a reason. All I need is a good seat!!  (Yeah I said cat-fight, watch the guys slowly trickle in. )

Nice to see men feeling protective of their family and friends. A woman always likes to feel safe. Especially if they've been thru an incident before.

Depends. I don't think anyone should Initiate force, but I also am not afraid to defend myself or my friends, family and loved ones. So unless you are using force to protect yourself or another, striking someone else is not an acceptable form of response. I would always try to use other means first...until they threw the first punch...then god help them... (-;
