Topic: Jesse Ventura on oil and housing... | |
---|---|
Last night Jesse Ventura was on Larry King announcing that he was not running for the Senate. He made his decision, even though in a poll made yesterday, he was in second place as a unannounced candidate.
Larry King asked Jesse about the oil and housing crisis. Jesse's response was "follow the money". He claimed that the oil industry has deliberately driven up prices to crush all opposition from environmentalists so they can drill wherever they please. He said that environmentalists will lose as American's desire to drive their car will override their desire to save the planet. He also claimed that housing failures are being forced by corporations. He cited, as his example, the shady loans given out to most of the family owned farms 20 years ago. Those easy loans caused most of our farms to go bust and shift from family owned to corporate owned. If he's right and I believe he is, very few people will own their homes in the future. Instead most of us will be renting our homes from corporations. |

I agree.... frankly I could go get a loan but the way the economy is right now, I think it's best to just stay renting
