my ex hubby did way before we got married and i gave him a choice the drugs or me, and he gave up the drugs (so so) of course he had a hard time, hes been clean for yrs but now his wife can deal with his crap, im not in the pic anymore

It happened to me. She was a heavy drug user many years ago...a very long time before I met her. I talked to her about how she got herself off drugs. I knew because of the kind of busy life she led she couldn't be doing drugs anymore. Her new drug of choice was wine and that was fine with me.

I used to do hard drugs. I make jokes about it now. I don't do any type of drug but back in the 70's wooohoooo. If a woman became upset about something I did more than 20 years ago then I wouldn't want to be with her anyway.

Why would it matter if it was many years ago. Please explain what you mean by many years, two three, five and so on?
