Topic: How do you tell someone they have BAD Breath? | |
---|---|
I have a girlfriend who's breath is really, really bad!
I don't know how to tell her because she is one of my friends and I don't want to hurt her feelings. The other day we were together, I smelled it and I was like OMG! I asked her if she wanted some gum and she said No. What should I do? Should I come out and tell her or just buy some nose-plugs? She's a very pretty girl, I think something died in her stomach What would you do or say? |

Scream and run away.

if she is your friend, tell her like if it was your sister !!
she will understand, and then she would know why people always turn their faces when she talks to them,,in fact she would understand lots of things!! |

I would tell her. I would appreciate my friend telling me before a
stranger did. Cause then I would wonder why my friend did not say anything to me. Trust us.... Tell HER!!! |

I mean it is really bad! Her teeth
are not rotten, but that breath is stinky! stinky! stinky! stink! How would I even begin to tell her....I don't want to ruin our friendship. But it is getting worse |

I tried putting body oil under my nose when I know she is coming....She
is not approachable on issues as such, I know if I tell her, it might be the end of our friendship. Can I get a volunteer from JSH???????? |

I would invite her over. Say it something like this
I am your friend, and I am going to tell you something about yourself that you may not know. And as your friend I would think that you would WANT me to tell you. Your breathe is getting really bad. I am not sure what you have been eating lately, but it is getting offensive. I am not telling you this to upset you. I just know that if anything was going on with me, you would tell me. I love ya gf but you really need to take care of this. |

Thanks Tneal....I might try it, but I've got to build up my
nerves She's a model and always meets nice guys but never stays with them long....could it be her breath that's running them away? We are supposed to go out soon, maybe I will tell her then. I didn't hear any volunteers from my JSH friends..... I'm waiting..... |

QB -- My best friend owns a business, and he has a guy who comes in all
the time, if not to buy something, then just to sit around and kill a few hours. The guy has a bad breath problem, so my friend has taken to keeping a pack of gum in his pocket at all times. The guy comes in, out comes the gum, the guy never fails to take a piece when it's offered, problem solved (for the moment anyway), no one offended, no feelings hurt. My friend told me once he can't come right and tell the guy because that could cause a bad scene and it could cost the friendship (sounds a little bit like your friend!) -- |
