New program (trash troopers) in Tampa Florida, allows citizens to jot down a license plate/tag off of a vehicle which they have seen litter. Throw a soda can out the window, cigarette butts, etc. The county would send the registered owner a letter advising them they were spotted and reported for littering, while including a complimentary trash bag or pocket ashtray. What's your take? |

Ah yes, the way social services operates reminds me of this even more. All kids know that they can call & report thier parents & teachers with no consequences for lying. Once accused your reputation is ruined forever. |

I never understood the need or desire to throw something out of a moving vehicle in the first place. was not promoting littering just pointing out the divide and conquer routine believe me if ya seen in my vehicle you would/should realize i do not like littering neither

They implemented this in Plano, TX. If THREE people have turned you in over a year, THEN there's supposed to be a fine. But, what a hassle!! And what are the odds, really!! And I just don't keep pen & paper that handy, then it's a chore to find the address and mail it to the city....

i think its a good way for vindictive peeps to accuse you of littering and whatever happened to being able to face your accuser? Just put the free loading jailbirds out there and let them pick up the trash.
