im talking about in restaurants or something like that well in that case you better call it root beer,coke,sprite,etc. say it by name

st louis call it soda and k.c. calls it pop I have not noticed that...I'm gonna be watching for that whenever I'm home visiting. Funny, I've never given it a thought before. I think I say soda pop...might be from two much time divided between stl and kc maybe.

The reason the "mexican" soda tastes different is they use sugar cane rather than fructose for sweetening. Here in Northern California you can buy the tall glass bottles of Coca Cola made in Mexico and it tastes a lot better than any Coke made here. We were discussing that very thing. After the "New Coke" fiasco and that they supposedly went back to the classic formula, but most people still think it really wasn't.
