Topic: Why is it that

children have this strong connection with the spiritual world and can sometimes see into spiritual realm? Also as we grow older, we seem to lose this ability. I have always wondered why.

When I was 5 years old my parents were going through a messy divorce. I stayed at my grand parents house for like two weeks. I missed my father so much and wanted him to come and get me. I cried and cried.. The next morning I woke up and saw what I believe was my guardian angel. He smiled, waved at me, and then disappeared. But he took on a form that looked exactly like my father. I quit crying the remainder of the time I was there.

I knew it wasn't my father because he was in another state fighting a custody battle.

I would like to have that strong connection back, but it seems like as I have grown into adulthood, I have lost it.

What are your thoughts on this? I'm open to all responses.

well i do belive children know about God and what not. they also get scared of stuff in the dark and all this without any teachings or or direction from outside sources like parents. i dont know why we lose the ablity to see things but maybe its because we really dont want to see so we have forced ourselves to block it out.

That's very interesting. The concept of fearing the dark. It's so true.
I would like to figure out a way to unblock it. But I guess the only way to accomplish this would be to regain your innocence.

I do not think it's impossible at all. The quality or state of being innocent would be the freedom of sin or moral wrong. I think if we could let go of all of that, then we could achieve this. It's like a rebirth. Let go of the past and start a new.

What do you think about that concept?

Of course you can become innocent again. Innocence is a state of being, it's not based on your past.

It would be utterly absurd to go around for the rest of your life carrying a ball and chain of guilt for mistakes that you've made in your past. Especially if those mistakes were truly innocent mistakes to begin with.

I think a lot of people punish themselves unduly because of poor choices they've made during times of heavy peer pressure or whatever.

You are absolute free to become completely pure and as innocent as the day you were born. You have my permission and support. bigsmile

Anyone who tells you any different is a demon working directly for Satan himself. Don't listen to demons! Especially if they claim to be speaking the word of God, those are the most demonic demons of all. devil

From this moment on your are as pure as the driven snow child.

So let it be written, so let it be done. flowerforyou

I call it unlearning.....unlearning that which is not authentically you...stripping away other people's opinions, beliefs, ideals, and returning to source...or innocence, as it is used here...

Purity is another word that fits...allowing oneself the purity of sensation, without attempting to label, judge or manifest....just being...that which is.

.......just like my 11 year old.

I have always been really good at mental/emotional imagery. I remember what if felt like to have such innocence. It's amazing how a child can bring that out of you again. The simple pleasures in life are there for the taking and willing. You haven't even formed any judgements about things in life because there wasn't any need to.

Love - Devotion

Feeling - Emotion

Don't be afraid to be weak.
Don't be too proud to be strong.
Just look into your heart my friend,
That will be the return to yourself.
The return to innocence.

If you want, then start to laugh.
If you must, then start to cry.
Be yourself don't hide,
Just believe in destiny.

Don't care what people say,
Just follow your own way.
Don't give up and use the chance,
To return to innocence.

That's not the beginning of the end,
That's the return to yourself,
The return to innocence.

I think that we are capable of so much more than what we are showing right now...Being that young...its almost like everything is connected, it's intact, untampered with..as you get older and you learn, your mind adapts to things and your mind begins to grow, although spiritually I believe there comes a diconnection...

This is just how I think...but I believe that humans have 2 key components...they have their mentality..using their mind, and spirituality..and sometimes..they link together..giving people unimaginable abilities...I don't think we're taught the right way to link to our spiritual awareness...I used to go to church 3 times a week...and that never ever made a difference in my life...in fact my life was horrible back then...I felt as if I was being taught to close my mind, my heart and soul and to stop learning and growing and adapt to 1 specific thing...I have a brother whom it works for tho...I believe "Religion" acts as a major function in our lives for some people, it's how they get through the day..but I just believe theres much more we're capable of...

I don't really believe in 1 specific thing anymore, and my beliefs might even sound bizarre at times..it's kinda like I have 2 beliefs that clash with each other, 1 gives me a reason to live, and 1 gives me no reason at all.

Theres a caution to being able to see certain things in the world we normally can't see tho...its almost like a rule..Once you see, they also see

Well said! Just like in our world (3rd dimension) there are good and bad people. I believe the same goes for the spiritual realm. So caution is a must. But there are also ways to protect yourself from this evil.

...because children are innocent & untainted by the world & its pressures.

Even Jesus said unless you come as a child ..He was referring to a child like belief.

Another thing children do is rest & abide in the presence of adults. They depend on...trust in...& rely on Adults for their needs.

Without malice or negative influences.

Ah...to have a child's heart again...

Children know so little about life and can not be an example of intelligence or education .
