by definition lie is concealing the truth. As it is not possible to conceal anything from yourself you theoretically can not lie to yourself You mean convince yourself that is a different story.

Lying to yourself......do you mean being in denial???? yes Sometimes denial is a good thing.....it acts as a placebo until your mind and body are "ready" to accept the truth!!! As long as you dont live in denial for a long time....a little lying to yourself never hurt anyone.......except yourself!!
