Heath watched the full movie several times in a row, because even he was captivated by his own performance. Maybe you should see the movie before making up your mind? From what I understand, this movie was his best performance ever. This is his first big movie, if he had lived another 20 years, everyone would still remember his performance in this movie. Drop the elitist crap and either watch the movie or not, but there is no reason to be vulgar.

Did you ever think that there is a reason why so many people liked the Harry Potter books? I'll give you a hint: They are really good.

I'm too poor to be elitist. That belongs in the Current Events thread lol. Also I'm not being vulgar, just blunt. Theres too much hype for this movie. I'm sick of constantly hearing about how great and wonderful it is and how its better than the 2nd coming of Christ.

Its like when the radio station over plays a good song. The song was good maybe the first 4 times that day, but after the millionth time it gets old.

pfffft, like the 2nd coming of Christ was such a big deal when it happened. he popped up outta no where, grabbed some chick's butt, then stole a car. yeah, great.

or was that the 2nd coming of Jesus?**

**note, that should have been pronounced Heysoosbigsmile

I *might* watch batman after everyone is done talking about how great it is, and after they quit humping heath ledger's grave stone O_O

What a sick thing to say... but then, some people have no manners but bad ones. You obviously have no respect for art, hard work, or for the deceased.

I'm just tired of people talking about great Heath Ledger was AFTER he died. Where was all that hype while he was alive? And all this hype over the dark knight has become a hysteria, i can't leave the house without hearing how great it is on every channel.

Its the same reason why i won't watch or read harry potter works because theres TOO MANY BANDWAGON JUMPERS. Or TOO MANY FANBOYS. Its purely annoying. If i want to see a good batman movie, i'll goto the store and rent the one made by Tim Burton with Michel Keaton as the bat.

Absolutely my point for commenting on that guy's gross statement. I liked Heath's work already and saw every movie he was in, but he was given such insignificant roles... especially compared to this one. I agree that this was his best performance and would've opened up a whole new career for him. I was really bummed when I heard he died, but really impressed by his last farewell in this film.

People who bash things just because they're popular are rather immature if you ask me and are just doing it to get attention.
But then, this is the internet... and people have more "guts" to say things on here than they do in the real world.

Oh, and considering this is a post about Hellboy II, it's still a great movie. Just not as good as The Dark Knight.drinker

No, i say these things in RL as well, where people have agreed with me.

And hellboy was SOOOOOOO much better than any batman film IMO.

You still don't have the right to say that because you still haven't seen the batman movie because it's "too popular" for you. This conversation is so LAME.

Wasn't Heath in the first main stream Gay movie Broke Back Mt?
I don't know how he did in that movie but I'd think that is pretty significant. Oh, and if he was straight and managed to actually kiss a dude, give him an oscar for that alone (I couldn't do it)...lol

I loved the Dark Knight and Ledger was incredible in it!
And I can't wait to see HellBoyII hopefully this weekend....

Netflix sent me Hellboy II today and I just finished watching it. I was entralled at the romance in the movie. I loved the part where Hellboy and the Fishguy were getting drunk singing sappy love songs. A very good movie to watch I think.

Forget about Batman.. it wasnt that good. This thread is about Hellboy II which after watching it was 5 times better at least then The Dark Knight.

Deuce Bigalo 2 made five times as much as Broke Back Mountain. Broke Back Mountain was probably the most mainstream gay movie ever, but it was tiny compared to even crappy mainstream movies.

Hellboy II was okay. I liked it for the most part. The romance was too weak. So it came off a little pathetic. And the way they drew the Fae, well, they were too much like wraiths from SG:Atlantis. They didn't build the story around the German vapor guy enough. But it had some fun action scenes in it.

I loved the first movie and the animated movies too but the Hellboy II was ok. I think I went in expecting too much. I will still buy it.laugh
