Here is the Bloomberg Aritcle Reich used in his story. I will post his Salon article and the Bloomberg article as well.

"Why Democrats are afraid to raise taxes on the rich" - http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2007/10/25/taxes/

----

Bloomberg Article:

"Hedge-fund employees also gave more to Democrats in the 2002 and 2004 elections, though not to the same degree as this year. In 2004, executives at the 50 biggest hedge funds gave about 62 percent of their donations to Democrats." - http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=abPcaWGJlFwo

The trend has always been that Hedge-funds have donated big time to Democrats and the article talks about the 2-1 split for Democrats. The reasoning according to the Bloomberg and Reich articles is because of cities and Democrats, most of the time, being in control of them.

Yes! Well I can't wait for the truckers to stop delivering to the cities... then the Park Ave types will have to pay the tolls & gas to send their ILLEGAL Aliens out of town to do their grocery shopping. It's already like a third world country in the big cities like NY.

Thanks alot libs... you're doing a bang up job of ruining our economy with your election year propaganda & your illegal slave labor. It just might come back to bite you where you sit.... laugh laugh
 John McCain gave the illegals amnesty in the 80s and he said he's gonna do it again if he is elected:smile:

What this? We independents can't be either liberal or conservative? Is that a right only granted to members of the Republicrat party?

I am Independent. Independent of the Republicrat party!

Am a liberal or a conservative? Well, I do like Ralph Nader and Jesse Ventura. To most, that doesn't make me either a liberal or consevative. It makes me outraged at the one party political system we have run by corporations!

Not to worry about my thoughts though, voters always get what they ask for and deserve!

There is a polarization of what american society views as dem or rep. We view the parties affliates to embrace the extremes. Where as the truth is that most american fall into the middle spectrum of political views.

I myself am a moderate republican, for a number of different reasons. If you were to have a conversation with me about social issues such as gay rights, abortion, immigration, etc. most people would assume that I am a dem. Also for the simple fact of my future occupation most people would assume that I am a dem.

Political parties and affliations are the vehicle to get things done (or not done). Individuals have there own views and once we take a looks at individual views and needs on local levels than maybe our society will be better.
