I don't think I'm going to get all the sewing done I wanted to do before dance class today. I got caught up on the phone and with emails.

1. The phone. My friend got fired today. I new it would happen. I could tell her bosses were looking for any reason to fire her for the last month.

She would get in trouble for something and the very next day,someone else would do the same thing and get praised for it.

She worked at a YMCA daycare. She got in trouble once for calling 911 when a child with peanut alergies went into anaphylactic shock. The girl in charge of the group decided that even though he was allergic, since he was only using it on pine cones and not eating it, he would be okay.

In fact, my friend saved there asses several times when they endangered kids.

She gets in trouble from bringing food to work when everyone else does too.

Everyday she does half of another person's work. She was fired today for finally saying something about it.

Personally, I think she got fired because she is the only person there who isn't somehow related to the boss or isn't a teenager they can control and manipulate.

She made the crucial mistake of being better at the job than both her bosses. What do you think?

2. Since one bank bought my car loan from another bank, they have lost more payments than any other bank I've ever dealt with. Personally, that many lost payments can't be coincidence. They lost the very first payment I sent after the switch over.

Ever since the very first call I ever made to them regarding lost payments, they treated me like the scum of the earth. I've never been treated so rudely anywhere by anyone. And that long before I left my high paying job and I had a really high credit score still.

I stopped mailing it in, figured it would be safer on the lost checks. Mmy bank doesn't clear the payment until after they have completed handling it with the other bank. Yet I'm still having it clear my bank days before they were aware of it having been paid. But it is getting worse.

I get a letter saying I'm 50 days behind. Weird. The letter on Friday was 39 day. They can't count. Even then, my payment had cleared and I was only actually 10 days over due.

On top of that, they haven't counted the last 380 dollars I've given them over the past 3 weeks to get it caught up. I have the proof. I made a copy of the letter I sent them and I'm giving that and the stubs and the statements to my lawyer so they can deal with the lawyer if they want to threaten me anymore.

Are they just STUPID???????

Good thing I got a few thing paid off and now I can send extra. Get that damn thing paid off early. Screw them.

Okay, I felt a desperate need to rant. Thanks for listening.

First off, I'm sorry to hear about your friend losing her job. She did the absolute right thing by calling 911 when the child was in anaphylactic shock. What did they want her to do, watch him die?

But the unfortunate thing is that most states (except Montana and Arizona) are employment "at-will" states, meaning you can get fired for any reason or no reason at all, unless it's something discriminatory, like based on your age, sex or race.

As for your bank, the very least I would do is switch over to another institution for your banking. I don't know if you can get your loan re-financed somewhere else at this point or not, but I'd try that too.

Don't feel bad about ranting. We all do it and it helps to get it off your chest.
