B.O.B. and books have kept me company for years!!!
Seriously, I have no idea what to tell you. I went for about 11 years without a relationship and was just fine with it all, preferred it, actually. When I would sometimes feel left out or lonesome, I'd observe my friends' and family's relationships and how screwed up they are, and it would calm me down quite nicely!! |

You know, I went a while without a relationship, then I found this site. And, it actually worked for me. If you have read my profile, then you know I met my girlfriend on this site, and I am so happy that I came here. Actually, I have made alot of good friends from here too, which is why I still post on here and why I always will.
Anyways, I don't have the "answer" but I do believe this....once you start to just hang out and take the time to just meet people....you eventually find someone that you connect with. Might take awhile...might not. And, more than likely (and I say this cause you are a woman) you will have to deal with guys who hit you up for sex, or lie to you (just to get you in the sac). But there will be that one guy who really wants to get to know ya....and then WHAM!!!!.....you go out on a limb and you find out he is what you have been looking for. I know. It sounds corny, but that has happened for some of us on this site. Just keep the faith. |

first stop feeling sorry for yourself and try to get around people you feel good with, try to go dancing with friends or even watch barney on tv if it makes you laugh. but mostly stay out of the house or start a new hobbie like collecting barbies or go to the mall and flirt with the men but if worse comes to worse go to disneyland and see mickey and minie

Lately I've felt extremely lonely and down. I have been without a serious relationship for two years and my nights are getting more and more lonesome...... is their any suggestions.... seriously?? Lower your standards, and go for the first guy that smiles at you, fall in lust, and then realize what kind of a jerk he is, and then immediately... Be grateful to be alone again. P.S. You don't have to actually do it, just think it through to its conclusion, with laughing being purely optional. |

If you lived nearby I'd invite you out--beats sitting home depressed. You will find someone. Don't worry!

Someone else already said it, as far as here, post in the forums and get to know folks. In real life, do some volunteering in your community. Nothing lifts your spirits more than helping someone who is less fortunate or contributing positively to your community. It gets you out among people and gives you a sense of fulfillment and pride, and a lot less time to focus on being alone. |
