??? I think the physical attraction would be there but not wanting to mess up the friendship could possibly be a reason not.

I have several in my area and believe me they are just friends ....but I have a few yes I would not turn them down...but I don't treat them like a shell because, whats inside them is most important...

Thats the bottom line. totally agree or as one 'friend' told me, they are your friend to get in line so IF your current relationship fails they are the one you talk to and then "help" you thru it .. hoping you'll consider them next
