Always outweighs the bad. Do you believe in this statement? (If you cannot answer with this alone and want an example, look below) A friend is there for you all your life. Then one day (just one time) is not there. You get upset. Do you let them go? I have seen this many of times, one day of dark, and the earth curses the heavens, regardless of the many days of light. (So to speak) I'm confoozled by your example...but either way good always outweighs the bad. That and it helps to always be happy, and optimistic about odd things.

The world/life is a combination of equal doses of good & bad. Nothing/no one is either all one or the other. Left to it's own devices, the world will balance itself. It's a person's response to & perception of life's events and the people involved that changes that balance. Bottom line...basic truth? Gotta 'take the good with the bad'...'you don't get something for nothing'...'there are two sides to every coin'. There's a reason those old adages have been passed on for generations. It has been the times when I refused to acknowledge & accept the good with the bad that were the most difficult, disappointing or tragic. Another old adage? 'Life is what you make it...' I bet you can create life out of water and household ingredients... Because your knowledge is amazing! I am blown away.  In the hopes that this is sincere...and you're not just poking fun at an old woman  , I am no more than a small woman 'standing on the shoulders of giants', as they say. Most of what I've learned from those giants - those who came before - has all been in retrospect...looking back & realizing they were right ! I'm as big a blockhead as anyone else, so any bit of wisdom I might have acquired has come from a hard life of knocks to that block ! I've spent most of my life reacting to the events in it  ...not creating it! It hasn't been till this point (a mid-life crisis, perhaps?) in my life that I understood and am willing to take the risk to make my own life what I wish it to be. If you were to stand on my shoulders, that is what I'd want to show you...'life is what you make it'...don't waste a moment...good or bad

the good things and joy we experiance in our lives makes all the bad crap worthwhile.. sometimes we just fixate on the bad things Ditto we seem to forget all the good at times when the bad come around. But......later wonder why we let the bad things get to us so much.
