Yanno I do try...my friends keep telling me I need to get away from the online personals & get out more, meet people in person, but it just NEVER seems to work

Case in point: I figure I'll see what's going on under the beer tent at the town fair tonight, see if there are any girls who want to meet up. I buy two coupons for beers, grab an MGD for myself and pocket the other one for "her", yanno? Take a seat at a table and start looking around, make eyes with one or two girls sitting by themselves...and just as soon as I'm about to get up and say "hi", they reach into their purses, pull out a cigarette, and light up.

After an hour of that treatment I decided to use the other ticket to get myself another drink & walked home.

So...who else is having a lousy July 4th?

Well my 4th has been pretty good..

Just got back from the town fair, outdoor concerts and beer.. even lit up a cigarette or two while I was out there.. Now Im on my way to sling booze to the local drunks!!!!

I mean, I'll hang out with someone who smokes, half of my best friends at the racetrack do, but to imagine being in a relationship with a smoker...sorry, too big a hurdle

I'm sorry I was just thinking of the some odd hundred things worse than smoking...and to kill the opportunity to find love because of smoking just goes to prove my theory of love. Hopefully one day someone will prove my theory wrong, but until then...

I thought my day would be lousy...I had some girls over (they spent the night) but I wasn't expecting to spend the "whole" day with them. I finally got rid of them so I can hang with my family to see the fire works. The girls tried to call to hang again for tonight or tomorrow. I need a break! Now, I am chilling in my apartment (after coming back from the fireworks) with the storm over head. I love the rain...nice way to end the 4th of July.

I had to work eight long endless hours, got home a little after 6pm, took a warm shower.. had to fix one tv .. lucky one of my friends called and he helped me finish fixing the tv, which was nice, so I end up calling the cable company back and canceling my app with them.

Other then that didn't do too much, I'm tired etc.

I wish I could get out a bit more but I'm just too either shy or neverous about trying to talk to woman I like or might want to ask out, because I kinda figure they might as well say no in the first place.. almost as if I am shooting my self in my foot or head before giving any body or any one woman a chance.



Even though I can not really stand people smoking.. I don't mind talking to them.. hack most people at my work smoke so I have no problem with that or them, I can't change them etc. But if I find some one I like and they smoke then so be it.. I just won't talk to them because of it, but that might just be me.

I've heard a bunch of stories at the R/C track about folks who've financed their whole setup from the money they saved by quitting smoking...and for a majority of them it turns out to be more than enough to get some really nice gear

Well, a good chunk of that belief comes from seeing how one of my grandparents ended up after being a lifelong smoker.

I dunno, it's just the one thing that'll take all the wind out of my sails I think everyone's got one of those, right?
