Well I started so let me get to my point.

The girl came running over crying and grabbed me, hiding behind me. Im no hero but I guess she was scared.

She was pleading for me to protect her. I was more concerned with going after the man and told her to go to my car with my brother!

Panicking she just kept hanging on to me all hysterical (understandable) even though my brother was trying to get her to follow him to the car!

As all this was happening the man began walking towards us. As he got closer he reached behind him and pulled a pistol out of his waste band. I would have taken it away, or tried, but the girl was holding on and was now ducking. The man was trying to draw a bead on her and shoot her, not me, but she was hiding behind me pulling me back and forth trying to shield herself from him with my body!

I dont know why the guy didnt shoot but my brother was hollering at the guy by now too. Maybe thats why.

So I started to back towards the car. It seemed like forever to get there, but eventually we did. I still dont know why he didnt shoot.

When we got in the car and my brother began to accelerate away the man went to his car and followed. Now we are to the point. The same as this woman, but with a different ending.

OK, Im back.
We drove and this dude followed. It was 2 or 3 in the morning and we couldnt find a damn cop nowhere. The man was trying to get beside us and was pointing the pistol out the window. We were running stop signs, and red lights. Swerving back and forth all over the road.
My brother was asking what to do, and the girl was screaming and crying constantly. All I could think was to go where there were lights and people, but it was late.
Finally we saw a CONOCO Station so I told my brother to pull in there.
He pulled right up to the door to start and the man pulled up a little ways from us and got out of his car with the gun.
My brother started to leave and as he did the man went back to his car. I dont know why he did it but looking back it probably saved our lives.
My brother didi a U-turn in the parking lot and rammed the guys car right in the drivers door. He hit it hard enough that I remember the guys head slamming into the door of his car.
I got out of our car dragging the screaming girl and my brother got out of his side. As we ran inside the cashier hit an alarm and all the doors slammed shut and locked.
The man, now out of his car was trying to get in the store. When he couldnt he began shooting at the glass. We were all hiding behind the counters by now and evidently the alarm was tied into the police department because the cops arrived in min and shot the man!

Holy molasses, glad you and your brother were there!!!!!!!!!

I get the gist of your story (and you both are a heroes in my eyes:heart:), having gone thru a 'similar' situation you would have more knowledge than I... lost my train of thought here, still picturing the terrified girl, too scared to let you go yet not realizing she'd put you in danger... wow!!!

We went back to that bar a week later.

We were told we were barred. The dude it turns out was a part time bartender there and a friend of the owners.
He said the girl was a trouble maker and was always flirting with men.

Blamed us for his friend getting killed!
Go figure.....

whatwhat who got killedwhatwhat

did you both a favor, you may have had to drive a little further to go to another bar; but avoided the b.s. and future problems

*as for girl being a troublemaker and a flirt* - does not justify forcing oneself on another - EVER (jmo)

I often wonder why that bar burned down.
It was closed when it happened!
The paper said it was believed to be arson!
