Lost my mother when I was 23. We were like sisters. Could talk about anything and everything, shared clothes, and never a harmful word was spoken between us. They say everything happens for a reason, well I still wait the explanation as to why something so precious is taken away?what

My mother and older brother pretty much tried to break up my marriage. My ex thinks she had a reverse Oedipus complex on me, and I would tend to agree. We talk, but our relationship is nearly non-existent unfortunately... frown frown frustrated frustrated

I live with and take care of my mother. I am proud to serve and someone had to, Dad dies and my siblings ran off as soon as they could after swearing they would care for her.

I speak to my mother about once a week, but not really about what's going on in my life. She lives close but since I had my daughter, her relationship with her seems to be on the front burner. I'm ok with that.

Yes, when I listen to her. Usually it's ok although according to her no women seems to be good enough for her baby boy. Which sometimes causes problems.

My mom and I tolerate each other, I wish we had a better relationship, but such is life. I have a great relationship with my grandmother so that was the mother figure in my life and she was wonderful and that is what I base my relationship with my daughter on.flowers

For those of you who've lost a Mom, I feel your pain. Breast cancer took mine from me September 26, 1999. It still feels as if it was only yesterday. The only good thing that came from the cancer was that it caused us to actually sit down and mend our broken fences. She became my hero, my inspiration, and my North Star. For those of you who still have your Mom, set petty differences aside, tell her you love her. You never know when she'll be taken. You don't want to regret things unsaid when it does happen.
