wish me good luck, im seeing my endocrinologist consultant tommorow and i know its not going to be good news, as ive failed all the tests, plus i see another consultant for something else as well tommorow, but a bit personal to say.
thanks. and some good news, my neice is back in a weeks time.

I'm unfamiliar with Addisons.......do the drugs have bad side effects?

I'm unfamiliar with Addisons.......do the drugs have bad side effects? thanks everyone. ive had all the tests and ive failed them all, so its highly likely i have addisons disease, but im not willing to take the meds, so its going to be hell tommorow. addisons is a steroid/cortisol defincy in the body. therefore the only way to replace the cortisol im not making is to take steroids, but im not willing to. problem is without the steroids, addisons is a killer. ill ask if theres anymore options. if you look up addisons and addisons crisis, youll find out more then, ive had one addisons crisis before. |

the steroids arnt anabolic but they still carry a lot of side effects. there a replacement steroid called hydrocortisone

Don't be scared - I know it's uncomfortable though. Like you said, be sure to ask about other things you could try instead of the steroids. I understand how horrible steroids can be, but in my opinion, it's better than the alternative.
