I was walking home from work tonight and stopped at a bench and sat down. I wanted to put my iPod on, grab a smoke, and get my keys ready. Ito took me a little longer cause my head phones were tangled.

While I was doing all this a cop drives by, and I noticed her looking at me. I thought nothing of it, just figured that she was just making sure that every thing was alright.

So I continued to fight with my head phones. Just as I was finishing the cop comes back around and stops to question me!She asked me what I doing, if I was waiting for a ride, if I have ever been in trouble with the cops before, and I told not since I was 15. She then asked me for my full name, confirmed my address, and then proceeded on to a criminal check. After about 5 minutes, she says thank you have a good night, and then proceeded on.

The whole thing just bothered me for some reason. I was in my own neighbor hood, in my own town, a place where I used to be able to walk with out being harrased boy the cops.

did the cop say take off you hoser and try to hit you with a hockey stick eh???

Do you think they've been having some kind of trouble in the area...maybe it's a good thing and this kind of checking is what is keeping your neighborhood safe and sound.

Some night they might not be there to "hassle" someone and that someone WILL pull something rotten in your neighborhood and the first club out of your bag will be, "Why didn't the cops do something?".

Ridiculous.

My dad retired..but now works at the college teaching newbies how to be cops...shooting and driving

there r good cops that do alot for people that need help.the job doesn't pay much and they deserve respect
