A World of Dreams
As the sun sets I see the hues of day saying goodnight.
As the blue sky fades to a silky black I see a world of dreams.
I see the glow of a million stars that shine like diamonds.
I see each one of them has brought me a world of dreams.
The moon settles within its home its face looking down on me.
The moon looks down upon those in love with a world of dreams.
As sleep comes so slowly to me I shall not ever know why.
As sleep brings you to me close enough to hold in the world of dreams.
I see your face, I kiss your lips, caress you softly, and speak of love.
I see your body next to mine to love freely in a world of dreams.
The feel of your heart beat with mine as our love takes hold of us.
The feel of us making love and becoming one in a world of dreams.
I see your face only in the time of dreams.
I hear your voice through the coldness of a phone.
I feel love growing at such a distance.
I'm forever trapped in a world of dreams.
