Cam locks were invented by a demon from the 9th ring of Hell. If you ever get them to work just as you tighten them up, they wil strip out and tear a big hunk out of the wood.

a Cam lock is a little round metal piece that goes in the bookcase shelf and you're supposed to be able to use a phillips screwdriver to turn it and latch it onto the screw that is protruding from the side, to latch the 2 together. But it keeps falling out.
