Oh,, OK
You're talking about the cease fire that enabled the Iraqi (Army?) to go unopposed into Sadr City and Basra!

Or are you referring to the progress made by the Aussie people to elect a government to remove their troops?

Or are you referring to the millions of dollars paid to the Sunni mercenaries to maintain peace in their areas? That money is running out you know. The Iraqi gov wont pay them like the Americans have been for lack of trust, and the $500 million dollars Bush allocated to pay them is running out!

Or are you talking about how American deaths increased again in June.
Or the lack of electricity and basic services that still aren't available to the Iraqi people!

Maybe you're talking about the extremely high unemployment that exist because the Iraqi Gov cant get their **** together.

or that they are now arguing because the Kurds have went ahead and signed illegal contracts with foreign oil companies behind the Central Gov back!

Please tell how you define Progress has been achieved?

I define it for the Australian People, as electing a Gov with enough Common sense to withdraw their troops from a quagmire with no end in sight!

I will define it for us when we do the same!

How about 9 out of 18 provinces completely in control of Iraqi government and Iraqi forces? Would that not be significant progress? 5 more are about to be included for those 5 are relatively peaceful, there is just normal governmental slowness and other such stuff going on slowing it down.

Or, how about the hundreds of millions in foreign, non-US investment, going into Iraq, as well as much US investment as well? The investors are beginning to see security and great possibilities in their financial investments.

The security is so well that oil production, that will enrich the nation, is going into mass production and increased production from the dismal state Saddam had it in. Iraq is seeking foreign assistance to bring the oil production up to top production and millions are being invested in this.

Most of the country is safe, secure, markets are full, streets full of cars.

Fact. Great progress has been made.
