Ok, the last time I posted one of these; I was asked to do it more often...

I was thinking about something today...

I have had a number of different people tell me that once they meet someone that they had been talking to online, they didn't look like their pictures that they had posted.

I understand that people want to represent themselves in the best way possible. However, by misleading someone that you are suppose to meet and possibly start a relationship with. I know with being online that affords you some anonymity, however, once you make that decision to see a person, wouldn't you want to give them current pics of what you look like now.

The oldest picture on my profile is 7 months ago.

Now when it comes to sending pictures to my lovie, well I send him pictures of myself almost everyday... from how horrible I look first thing in the morning, to right after putting makeup on, or what I look like after a stressful day. Yes, I filter the pictures where my double chin is making me look like jaba the hut, but at the same time; I know that he would be able to recognize me in a crowd. I know that he knows what my physical appearance looks like and we have talked about physical attractions and such.

I know that you want to keep yourself safe online and not always show exactly who you are, but I just want to say... if you are seriously talking with someone and planning on meeting. And you have enough trust to do that, be sure to show the other person who you are and what you currently look like.

people are too visual for their own good. They love to speculate and express their desires of a mate, but rarely do I see a '10' want to date a '10'

well all of my pics are very recent and I agree with you about not being truthful to others you talk to. Having said that I am going to borrow a really wide angle lens and take a picture of me with my pants unzipped

Well, I think that is why my lovie and I get along so well, is b/c we value personality, character, morals, and intelligence over physical appearance. But I still think he's a hottie, eventhough someone else would think that he's average.

My rainbow pic is from 2/27/08. The others are from May 3, 2008 at my daughter's baby shower. I'm a WYSISYG!! You no like, me no care!! I don't care if someone is a 10 on the outside. I want 10 on the insides!!

I have a variety of pics...a couple from yesterday after laying around on the phone wiff my baby. He knows I can look like crap already.

ok. let me clarify this, so someone doesn't get offended.

I don't have a problem with ppl not posting pics of themselves. However, the issue lies in posted pics of themselves that aren't true to themselves, most people don't look the same as they did 10 years ago.

However, the bigger issue is that if you trust someone enough to meet them in person, you should be showing them more recent pictures of what you look like.
