I slip into the realm of dreams
Where all is not as it seems
Upon a purple horse I ride
With a six gun at my side
Annie Oakley I am not
Creeping goblins covered in snot
Chasing my feet as I run
Towards the blackening sun
Dream shifts and changes
I am standing before a coffin
People all around crying and grieving
I want to look inside and see who it is
But I am afraid
A sick and twisted voice in my ear
"Go on look, you will not be surprised"
So I let my gaze fall upon the body inside
It is me.....
Needles protruding from my arms
Covered in scars
Blackened eyes
It all comes as no surprise
And the dream shifts and changes once again
Standing on the edge of cliff
The sea surging and pulsating below
Steel gray skies
Clouding my eyes
Behind me he stands
Waiting for me to turn away
He calls my name
Dream shifts and changes yet again
I stand now beside a house on the plains
He is there once again
Standing by my side
Holding my hand
Whispering calming words in my ears
Dispelling all of my fears
Pulling me close to him
Holding me tight
Making it all feel so right
He speaks again
"Come inside doll
Where its warm
Let not the bad dreams take form
Come with me now
You know you belong"
In my sleep I cry out his name
Waking myself from these dreams
No longer filled with screams

changing is incredible and opens up a whole realm of

This changing in and out is like the many skins we lose and grow new
