And What Does
And what does one say when the thought is so raw, shared and bare to the touch? Do we ignore, watching the fade, saying the words were too much? Many a heart, opened their mouths, blurted, deliberate truths. The fact of the matter, how it is said, Gives credence To wisdom for youth. Shall we ignore, In our comfort zone Only to share aptly worded? To say what is pleasing Graced, as it were, Defining expression and reason. And what would one say As we bid so long, To a man known for his passion? Opening a door into freedom A speech, will be heard as his last one. Raine Les 6/23/2008 Although I never knew Mr. Carlin, nor did I agree with his raw out take on life,I do think freedom of speech is a responsibility that is fought for, on all fronts. In many ways, I feel he is deserving of respect for his contribution. |
