I'm 41 now, but when I was 38, I went to this bar one night cuz they had a really smokin' band playing. When I ordered a drink, the bartender carded me  I wouldn't have minded but I was waiting to get my ID replaced after losing it. She wouldn't serve me even AFTER I explained I had grey hair older than her You would be in the minority then  I'm 47 and most guys I run into in my age bracket look so much older! Wow, you look 30-something. |

I've had a few issues when meeting people in their 40's. I can't get over the fact that so many look nearly my father's age. It didn't dawn on me until today that the issue is probably not that they look older. The problem is that my father looks younger than his age. I get that from him. So this mental issue I'm having with people not that must older than me is something I'm really gonna have to try and get over. And I hear you on the guys my age looking older.....its not that they look older its just that I look younger!!!

My head is shaved, so the thinning and gray aren't there.
But the mustache and goatee are more salt than pepper.

LOL Wait until you are on tne back side of your fifty's like me and have and ageing parent as your charge. THEN a decent but maybe not so pretty 55 to 65 year old guys will start looking a whole lot better. Not all but some of that young 30 Something (really 40) that are trying their best to prove they still got it and whine and crying when it makes them sore as heck or cheat when some skinny desperate 20Something that has a couple of hungry kids gives them somethin somethin to get into their wallet or a promotion at work won't look near as good. Not saying you have to date the spitting image of dear old Dad or retire to the rockin chair but just cuz a guy has worked hard all his 20 =40 years and looks it doesn't make him a bad deal. You will see age sneak up on you here real soon so I wouldn't get too choicy or you might end up alone.

No one EVER believes I'm 53. Most ppl guess late 30's to early 40's. Of course that works for me

Personally, I have been able to overcome my former issues with age differentials. I know completly immature older people....I know very level-headed younger people. My one remaining bias is know that the older ladies are waaaayyy more fun in the sack...just my personal experience. |

I truely hate the thought of getting old and looking old is oh so much worse!!! I can not believe 39 is just around the corner!!!! I need some major crack filler, and some high grade sand paper!!!! Any drywall men out there willing to help a girl our?
