a friend of mine the other day mentioned that her and her husband had not had a "good fight" in a long time, so it's due. She says she thinks fights are healthy for a marriage. Do you agree?

I was thinking about this last night, and no I don't agree. I agree a debate from time to time where both sides are equally understood could be healthy, but a fight tends to have one person who won't budge and another person who won't budge that gets ultimately nowhere. I think a civil debate between two partners is healthy, I don't think a fight is.

It depends on whether or not bruises are left behind, in which case it's time for someone to leave. Sometimes a good fight makes for crazy sex, but I prefer the calm so that the sex is the storm instead of part of the storm.

Now a good pillow fight is cool, or a good wrestling match maybe but if it's a fight fight..even if it's settled I may not feel like having makeup sex..I will still be going from hot to sizzle and takes a little bit to get to luke warm...so I don't like fighting..

I just don't see the need to "plan" a fight because it's been a while since you had one.
