Outside my windows are sounds of life.
I hear birds, children, and I feel breeze. I hear sounds of the season, sounds that give meaning, to life....I hear barking dogs, a parakeet, a dove cooing, people just doing and moving about. All is in surround sound; my wide windows allow all vibration to enter. I am in the center of outside, although I am inside; it’s a magical ride just sitting here as I write. The sunlight comes in knowing it’s an invited guest; no request to shine through my windows is ever needed. The light brightens and gives rainbow to each room, even though well past noon the warmth has subsided. I never tire of these sounds or of the light. It’s a beautiful sight, outside my windows. JDS 06/21/08 From this room of peaceful bliss, I set alone lestening to all I miss. Children swinging, birds a singing. Tides breaking on the sandy beach. All this so close but still so out of reach. If only I could leave this bed. Laying here paralized and half dead. So many good memories still in my head. Be thankful everyday that YOUR not in this bed.
