So I got run down by the Greeley PD yesterday... Oh, you want to hear
more? Well OK then.

First a definition: "Dumpster Diving"

Dumpster diving, also called Binning, D-Mart, Dumpstering, Garbing,
Garbage picking, Garbage gleaning, Skip-raiding, Skipping, Tatting or
Trashing, is the practice of sifting through commercial or residential
trash to find usable items that have been discarded for being unusable
by their owners, such as food, furniture, or clothes. The term
originates from the fanciful image of someone leaping into large trash
bins, the best-known of which are produced under the name "Dumpster". In
practice, dumpster “diving” is more like fishing since most dumpsters
can be accessed without diving in. A diver’s hauling ability can range
from a man just walking past the dumpster, to people with bicycle with
panniers, carts, and trucks.

Well I was looking for something that I could re use or sell and I had
just finished getting myself a box spring for my mattress.
When a cop pulled into the lot.

I was just leaving and for some reason I knelt down to hide and when he
passed me I ran to my apartment building...

He was waiting there for me

I got there and he put his spot light on me.

I went up to the car, he got out, lights flashing and a spoghtlight in
my face.

Then he put my hands behind my back and searched me, he called in my
name and asked if I had any warrents on me or anything...

Of coures I said, "Not in Colorado..."

So he put me on his car (Iwas sitting on the push bars) and waited for a
while, I was having a blast mind you...

And he asked why I ran and I couldn't tell him...

I just said I was scared and wanted to get to my apartment...

Oh yeah I was right infront of my building at the time.

And so he told me to stay out of there from now on and I will be fine,
but if I am caught there again I will be arested for tresspassing...

I guess there is a lot of drug stuff that goes on out there...

Then he left...

It was pretty cool

I had never had that happen to me before...

I can't wait to see what my mom says... (LOL)

I just wanted to share my experiences with everyone, I thought it was
cool (Because I didn't get arrested, just a warning) and I thought
someone else might think so too..
