Topic: How old is too old... | |

I think the oldest I would still consider having a baby would be 35. I had my daughter at 22 and I was 75 hours in labor! I don't think I could handle that again past 35. Besides, again for me personally, when I retire I want to be a grandma not still just a mom.

If we have a little Angel or Peccy, then great! If not, then great also! She has a daughter and I will love her like my own regardless of if it happens or not!

After the age of 35 your eggs start to be well, not the best work you have done in life. The possibility of having a baby with birth defects is greater. Older women should talk to their doctors about becoming pregnant and understand that side of it. As far as the latest? Um? Beats me. 50? LOL! It's a number through a dart at the board.

I just want to add age 35 is beginning of the decline but it doesn't mean you will not have beautiful healthy children. It only means there is an increased chance of a problem. Doctors will run various tests and let you know the straight scoop. All I am is a student who had a Sex Ed. course last semester in college.
