My throat is really sore now and has been for the past couple of days. Last night I almost couldn't get to sleep because of it. Is there anything I can take that might help it to hurt less?

Gargle with Tequila.

go to Dr and get Dyph/Lidocain/Kenalog gargle every two hours and swallow. Ive use it everytime. does miracles. it is a prescription but last forever

I know this sounds gross, but it works...I give this to my patients that have strep this all the time
mix equal parts of Kaopectate and liquid Benadryl....the benadryl has numbing and healing agents in it...the kaopectate is thick and will make it stick to the back og your throat...trust me...it works....oh...just gargle it...DO NOT SWALLOW!!!!!

2 squirts from a Cepracol throat spray bottle will do the trick

Actually, he isn't that far off. Gargling with mouth wash can help, but so can gargling with a very strong alcohol. Kills some of the bacteria causing it. Hot tea, tons of honey, and a double shot of alcohol. Your basic hot toddy, which works wonders.

Take a flashlight, look down your throat. If there are white pockets, get to the doctor ASAP!

gargle with soluble aspirin.

buy a local anethestic spray

and just take 2 paracetomol 4 times a day

if that doesnt help, and it doesnt go away, see your doctor as you could have a throat infection or tonsilitus.

Gargle with salt water. Sea salt is best but table salt is what my mom always had me use.

Water as hot as you can stand it, salt ( as much as you can stand the flavor of as strong as you can stand it)

mix, gargle and repeat as many times a day as you can.

Dr told me that salt promotes healing by stimulating the nerve reseptors and you body reacting by producing more white blood cells, and helps with pain.

Anasthetic throat spray helps after as well......Wal Greens or better yet, Wally World.

We didnt have a lot of money when I was a kid, so I never got the throat spray till I was on my own....but the salt water always did the trick with in about two days.

mince up a couple habanero peppers and, mix with equal parts tabasco sauce and water. Gargle with that and your throat will immediately quit hurting. At least, you won't notice the pain in your throat as much
