Another date another disaster, i went on a date with someone from here last night, and i was terrified by her mom, she just the way she acted scared the daylights out of me... maybe i should just accept that i am to ba alone for the rest of my life and take myself out of that dating pool.... i am so depressed today i just wanna cry

well it was ok, to clarify what i mean, i met this girl for the first time, and given the circumstances of her life her mom is very protective of her, so when we were meeting for the first time she insisted that we all go out together, i mean i got a free dinner out of it, but she was just very..... well outspoken is another good word, i jsut felt very uncomfortable, i mean i adore this girl, but her mother freaks me out and not in a good way etrain

Not sure about Mom going OUT on the date too.. you could have met mom at home before you left. And if mom was too straight forward, that's a good thing actually.. she wants to know what your intentions are?
And c'mon guys. us Mom's can give it just as good.. remember the olden days when dad would threaten suitors with a GUN??? 
If you really like her.. ask her out again.. but this time, just the two of you..see how that goes! Good luck!
