my doctor weaned me of lorazepam and replaced it with valium while weaning me of the lorazepam. i saw him today and he said hes going to wean me off the valium, and im like WTF,why did you replace the lorezapm with valium, if ive got to be weaned off the valium as well. so this time im going to be weaned off the valium, and ill have nothing to replace it. why the hell did he give me diazapam in the first place, now its going to be harder as ive got nothing to replace it with.

does anyone know of any benzos you can have long term??

i dont think ill cope without them

Benzos are highly addictive. None of them are supposed to used for long term use. An herbal alternative is Valerian Root.

Deb has your Dr. discussed klonopin with you? Same drug class and effects but not as addictive and fewer side effects.

i mean why did he put me on them if i had to be weaned off these as well, its made it more difficult for me. when he weaned me off the lorazepam he shouldnt have put me on valium if i had to be weaned of that to. grumble

he is trying to keep your body from going into total detox, if you want to deal with that,, by all means quit everything at once, and you will find out what hell is for you. whatever your on it for they tried to do what they thought would be best for you. but you have to know when you cant get by without it theres a problem there and time to look for something else that will help

look at some of my posts, why did he wean me off one benzo, and put me on another benzo if i had to be weaned off that to. its made everything more difficult for me, as before i had the valium when weaning off the lorazepam, and now ill have nothing else when im weaned of the valium

its your and the docs responsibility to keep an eye on the situation, you cant totally depend on a doc,, they are human and will make mistakes. like i said, you have to keep in check things that will get you in the end.

Going through withdrawal is hell, in case you've never done it. And they do the valium to make the withdrawal symptoms easier. and the withdrawal from valium's not bad if you do what the docs say and ease off it slowly. That's why they did it. If they had you go off the one with nothing to help the symptoms, you'd have ended up in the hospital or dead.

when your dependent on something and you quit cold turkey, your body goes into detox mode,, its like a man who has drank all his life, and suddenly quits,, with no help, it can give him the shakes, vomiting, all kinda nasty things. what the doctor is doing is trying to keep you from going into detox. trust and belive you dont want it to happen. you have to do what they say, unless you know its bad. i wont take certain pain killers cause i dont want the risk of getting dependent or addicted to them.
