well i look but didnt see a real place for my topic hope its the right place heh, anywho i try e-mailing ppl i think i might like talk to and i get no reply besides not uploading my pic which i will if that so be the problem its just its not a good pic and i need a new one, but i dont really know what im doing wrong. i try to tell someone little about me and what not,. but i never get a reply what do i do wrong. hmmmm. any advice? kepp in mind iv been on jsh for about 6months talk to a few people but not many and well i just got back into it and people dont even talk to me. ehats wrong. again advice?

cause shallow people dont want to go blindly talking to someone who might or might not look like pennywise or a model. they dont want to take the risk of finding out how really shallow they can be. that makes them feel bad about being themselves.

I would say, yes on the pic, alot of people will not reply to speak to people without seeing who it is they are communicating with. Just be yourself, thats all u can do, if still no replys, move-on, there are alot of great, friendly people on here that just chat away, allllllll day and allllllll night.

I agree with you on this too.... I have emailed people or asked to be their friend, and no response, and hell I have pics on my profile....So I just move on.......

I don't think it has much to do with that.
Angry people that have issues liking themselves are the ones that try to reflect their issues on others.
Then there are those that approach a woman ALL wrong:
"Hey baby; Hi mami; Hey beautiful, do you have yahoo or MSN..."- comments like that are not appreciated.
Do you push too hard for conversation or do you let things flow?

Pics in general do help..but I have accounts on other websites w/ no pics and I still get people to e-mail me..its just more likely to get a response w/ a pic..thats just my opinion.

well when i first msg someone i like to tell someone about myself then telll then that i would like to talk to them if they want to. other then that im really polite and honest. im not into cyber or w/e just wana talk mainly. i dono kinda seems hopeless but i shall upload my pic soon got to search and see if i have anyrecent pics if not i shall continue to use a 7 mounth old one which i think i look like a scrub whice is why i first figured why ppl didnt talk to me, sigh.... but great advice thx everyone least you all replyed to me

just a way that i do it, i get responses based on me being random and having a sense of humor. i try to make people laugh. but im a smartass by nature.

Thumper I so disagree.. A lot of fake profiles pop up and people are untrusting that it is someone tricking them, I've seen it happen dozens of times... Not to mention if someone has a pic they may expect a pic so they can put a face to the person they are speaking intimately with... THAT is not shallow that is having preferences which everyone is entitled to and may be what makes them feel comfortable and that is what all have a right to...

k i just found out i dont have anypics even my old one, but i have a web cam is there a way to take a picture with it i cant figure out how?

thats just my thoughts on the matter, and i dont expect many people to share my thoughts. but some people wont even give you the time of day if they cant see what you look like. if you dont take the chance at least to say hello or thank you for the email, then why even open it. if you feel its a spammer or scammer then delete it and move on.

Why the new account? If you kept the old one then use it. Women are more inclined to go with someone who has been around a bit than someone who has no track record. I have a lot of friends here who left me testominals. Does your other profile have any of that or a pic?

yea my old profile dose but i thought it might have just been my old profile and what not so i figure maybe a new one but nothing, sigh lol geez i guess looking at myself i sound desperate but eh. i guess ill probly go back to my other profile.but still look like a scrub but if i can get my web cam to take a pic i could upload a much better one lol. anywho you all have been great thx for the advice!

this is the way to meet people on the forum threads.
people are reassured by having an image to correspond
with the words. this is somewhat irrational since a
person is not an image. the blind understand this best.

but, if you go picless then it will be your thoughts
people see so make them good.

Some people will make a big deal about the picture, but i see it as your choice! I don't judge people by thier looks. Posting in the forums may help, if you can find a topic that interests you.
