i guess thats what makes me diffrent, i prefer a pond dam over the couch, and a tree stand to the tv, and the ocean on one side of me and the sound on the other over air conditioning. i can even deal with the skeeters.

Good night to you Red. I love the beach...but stayed in a cottage near the sound side that was lovely. 'Marsh Haven' it was called...sweet, old little place. Owned by a woman named Pat (I think Garvey was her last name). She rehabed animals at her home (mostly birds) and wrote a nature column for one of the little papers. Love that place.

i lived in pauls 2 off british cemetary rd, about a hundred yards from the actual cemetary. and i loved it, expensive as all get out, but it was nice, i didnt have to deal with the skeeters in the house,,hehehe

There were a few mesquitoes, but several verynoway large spiders lived throughout the place. They seemed to eat up most of them...very elaborate webs! I had all the spiders named after various English royalty...thought of them as friends and protectorslaugh !

So, which thread is yours, Thumper. I've been here for a little while & don't seem to fit in anywhere. Maybe your thread is the place for me? Seems I'm able to kill a thread fairly quickly, though...I should warn you:wink: .

you must not have dealt with the green head flys then ,,, they are the worst out there. and after dark,, here they come in a swarm. had to have the best bug repellant there. but when i was there i worked as a prep cook and shrimp cook in the pelican and a side job at the slushy stand right on the main drag of 12

i go out there every chance i get, i go about 4 or 5 times a year, i still have good friends that live there and sometimes i just stay with them. it all depends on how bad the rates on the hotels are
