I might tend to agree with you...if I thought we had any rights or privacy in the first place. Everything in the Patriot Act has been going on for years and years...at least since Hoover was in the FBI. Easedropping on forien and domestic wires is nothing new...the only difference is now it holds up in a court room. As for getting pulled over and searched for no reason?? where have you been? Getting pulled over because my hair was too long (back in the 70's...lol ) and getting searched along with my car.....was not uncommon 20 years ago

I know what you mean. It has become almost a normal precedure in Mo.
If you say no they threaten they will detain you for 2 hours while they get a search warrant. These are fairly new tactics in these part of the woods. No need for a warrant no more. All a cop has to do is say he believed something suspitious activity is going on and Knock and announce goes out the window. They just come in. It will not get better.. The cat is out of the hat and we know they will not go back. kinda like the tax raise for only so many years and then it will drop off. I have yet to see one be dropped.. Sighting the budget can not handle it. |

look at all the programs that where tried and fail..but still kept going just for the influx of tax money. Look at social security..originally it was suppose to be optional( not mandatory) and your contributions were never to go higher then 2% of your income. Now look what a behemoth it has become! Once they have their "programs" they will never give us our money back...no matter how wasteful it is  |

any and all involved in the validation of the patriot act should be tried for treason and shot when found guilty

Hasn't and won't effect me or 99.9999% of the US population so I have no issue with it. And, if you want to tap the NON-US citizen who called me from overseas go for it.

As far as Camera's go
Go to downtown St Louis. Just stand thier and look around. and see how many bubble camera's u c. Then keep walking and just look up once in a while and c if u are seeing the same thing everywhere you go. Look at your intersections and see how many have a mounted camera. Are we so uncivilized now we need to be watched every minute? Were we 20 years ago? A frind of mine is on a city council. The Fire dept. got new IR camera's that will let you see in a fire or in a building. The police dept. came and asked for the same thing. He asked why do you need them? They said when we are chasing criminals. So the city council decided to see just what they could do. So the Fire Chief went out on the street and pointed it towards a public building. They could see everything that was going on. He voted no and got enough votes to stop it. Why? Abuse. Would you want a police car cruising through your nieghbor hood and them looking in your house? |
