Part of the situation is that we tend to see others how we want to see them, not as who they actually are.

It happened to my ex, but only after our divorce.

When people marry at such a young age, their views, opinions and the things they want out of life change as they get older and wiser.

That's exactly how my ex boyfriend was. When we first started dating he was amazing. He was so sweet and caring. Probably the most amazing guy I had ever met-and then after a few months, he completly changed. It seemed like he cared more about himself than anyone else. He started using me and abusing me, taking me for granted, he would talk down to me, and make me feel worthless. I definitely did not recognize the person he had become.

I would like to make an observation we don't change. We evolve. You could never change the basic characteristics of a person.

thats very true. we have evolved but sometimes that can be a bad thing

She changed, then she left, and then showed me just how ugly she could get. She said I changed too, though.

I don't think people really change all that much, they just show you a different side to them, what they're willing to and what they want to show you changes over time.
