Age has nothing to do with it

I experienced something today, which made me think

Dropped the kids to school and if I am a bit early I normally go to the well known joint for a coffee
Ordered my drip and sat down reading a magazine

This lady about 75 years old but fit as a fiddle came and sat in the next chair and smiled and though an unusual thing here in the Southern California (how sad) I smiled back and we started chatting.

Though the rages of time had left its cruel marks all over her the glow of her spirit was not extinguishable.

She talked enthusiastically how she had just last week-end won the show-jumping regional championships end and produced an album with some loose pictures showing her in full regalia and the horse which were so beautiful

“ Those were taken yesterday that’s why they are not in the album yet”. She referred to the loose photos.

“My horse trailer was made in England in 1954” she added, and I knew she is mentioning that instead of the normal boring question of “your accent is familiar Are you from England?” and continues to tell me of her folk music concerts that she played all over the UK back in seventies which was “ancient time ago” to which I replied “It was only yesterday” we laughed.

I had to go and as I was leaving I thought I could have talked to her without boredom and without feeling the passage of time

So I thought

Age may have nothing to do with it. For all who are concerned about age groups

Age is just a number. The mental attitude towards life keeps you young. A group of my friends, aged 29-65, all take a vacation together every year. We go to a bowling tournament. At dinner the conversation never stops.

Nice story thanks for sharing.

Age doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it.

Age can have a lot to do with it. I believed that for a long time and was married to him he was 10 years younger than me. Well lasted 11 years then all of a sudden age was a factor and left me for younger/swinger/bi. So age does make a difference depending on what age they might be or who is older the man or women/
