Best advice I can give is don't be nervous... Bring at least three copies of your resume and give one to each interviewer, dress to impress and do not for any reason let them think that you are nervous.... Be confident... Interviewers notice confidence... They see nervous people all day so you will stand out...
do some research on the company and ask some questions based on that.It always impresses them when you do that.

Thank you so much for all your advice; I really appreciate it.
merlin, I'll be sure to check out that page on Monster.com. |

I have an interview tomorrow downtown, and I'd love any advice people have to offer. Any tips? Possible interview questions? Any help would be appreciated. You may hear something like "Tell me why we should hire you for this job," so have a good, brief summary with your reasons. Bring the portfolio -- it's good, and it shows your talent and versatility. Be yourself -- you're the most intelligent person I've ever known, and your communications skills are off the chart. Take your time with your answers and don't rush anything. And remember, it's just an interview. It's one interview with one company, and they need you as much as you need them. They just don't know it yet. And who knows? Maybe you'll get a surprise after the interview is over!! |

Be your self, show up a head of time.

First start by reading up on the company.....
Here are a few questions for you: 1. What are your expectations for the job? 2. What major problems/challenges have you faced in previous jobs? How did you handle them? 3. What was your biggest accomplishment/failure in your last position? 4. How do you handle stress/pressure? 5. Tell me about yourself? 6. How do you evaluate success? Some questions to ask your interviewer: 1. How many people work in this department? 2. Who does the position report to? 3. What are the prospects for growth & advancement? 4. What do you like about working here? What don't you like? And what would you change? 5. When can I expect to hear from you? |
