I don't get what it's saying about either person but I like your metaphor... That's just it. What DOES it say about that person? Open to interpretation, or is there some sort of socially acceptable standard or moray of indicative behavior behind shot glass collecting? To whet, does it lead to other lifestyle choices, e.g. the talking/singing Billy Bass? We might not ever know.
