I was talking to a friend of mine today and she asked me to be honest with her. I told her I had no choice; I can't lie to a friend, even if she is not going to like what I say. Of course, I would never insult her or be rude, but I will always give her my honest take on her situation. Some people will tell you the things you want to hear, and secretly roll their eyes at your behavior. Which type do you prefer? Which type are you?

always my honest opinion... thats what my friends expect. They know I don't sugar coat. I agree, you don't have to be rude or anything like that but you should always tell your friends the truth.

there are nice ways to tell the truth.. and then there are b!tchy ways to tell the truth.. i tell the truth.. but i tell it nicely! When I am talking to a friend, I do it nicely too. It's less so with someone I don't like. There might be a bit of bite to it then.

I despise anyone who starts a sentence off with the words "Honestly" or "To tell you the truth" cuz it's like, what? otherwise you AREN'T telling the truth?
