And the point you made about the public gets their notice when the person gets sentenced. Well what about when the person is released from jail and moves to another state? Those people in the other state have no knowledge about this man's past so what do they do? Pray that the schools or police department or churches (or the places that you say should only have access)would notify them? And what happens if the child molester attacks your child because you didn't have public knowledge of what this person did and these other places were irresponsible in notifying you and all other parents? Are you going to sue them for negligence? And what good would that do your child? Wouldn't it be so much better knowing that you can protect your children yourself and not have to worry about depending on others to inform you.

I have no sympathy for sex offenders having to register and having everyone know their business. If you live in a state where the crime will label you as a sex offender, it's pretty simple, either don't do the crime, or move. Cause as far as I am concerned, once a sex offender, always a sex offender and they all should be executed by the most horrific means of torture possible.

what about the guy whose life and good name have been ruined by false accusations? once accused of this crime it takes on a life of its own and is almost impossible to get past, even years later there will always be someone who remembers all the headlines, ect.

the city of New Florence Mo many years ago decided to extend thier city limits..

This is a town of less than 500 people.

Now when they do this anexing they are suppose to also give basic services.. sewer water ect.

Why did they want to extend thier city limits a mile +?

The power company i used to work for had built a 50 to 75 million dollar substation.

They extended the city limit sign to just pass the substation. Saying we plan to in the near future bring out water and sewer. 20 years have gone by and still nothing.

The company I worked for knew exactly what was happening but let it happen because it would Big Business not caring about small towns.

They can do the same to u and still provide you with nothing as many cities in Mo. do.

I believe, too, that the recidivism rate indicates the percentage of those released offenders who are either re-arrested or convicted of a subsequent sex offence. i don't think that it indicates the percentage of those people who commit subsequent sex crimes after incarceration.

The possibility of a false allegation and the potential for it to lead to conviction and/or imprisonment is disturbing under any circumstance and regarding any crime. But does making the punishment less restrictive really solve that problem? Our country's laws & procedures for arrest, trial & conviction were based on allowing that some criminals may escape punishment, so that the innocent are less likely to be convicted...but when talking about sexual assault (and I'm thinking primarily of those against children) it becomes more difficult for me to accept that allowance. It's a very difficult situation, and I'm not sure what is right in this case.

I dont have facts to support it of course...But I would be willing to wager that the majority of who do commit to those that are innocent are much higher

In my opinion pedifiles, when covicted should be sent to maximum security prisons, into the open population, with no parol. They should be chemicaly castrated.
When they have served their time and are due for release they should have a frontal lobotomy, and an electronic tracking device installed.
If after release they are shown to be within 5000 feet of any school, an unresendable shoot to kill order should be issued.

What my main concern is with these laws is most states do not differeintate a child rapist to a young couple have sex. They both must register and suffer. A child rapist pure and simple should be locked away for life. If we would do that the laws for the rest would be much easier to handle.

The Media is alot to blame for this epidemic of hate.

For example. When the Hollaway girl disappeared in Aruba. For 3 months we saw on tv all kinds of things from the media. Now she was from a well to do family i am sure.

They did not know what happened but since thier was a potential for a sex crime the media went wild.

Now lets look at recently in OK.

2 young girls are murdered but no sign of anything sexual.

I do not see anything already on the written news and i have not seen in the last few days since they put out a picture of concern.

now they say it is someone local and this is a small town.

Yet as a society the Media does not see the $ signs so the story is dying.

Now can you imagine living in a small town and being told someone local did this. How scared u would be?

But this does not matter to govt. or the media. It is what sells to the public whether it be advertising dollars or the Govt. perception as to how we see them doing what we want.

I have watched the news conferences. Not once have I seen the murderer refered to as a MONSTER,

Now if he would of had some kind of sexual contact and they were released alive.

My question is, why do they have to be released? Why do they get the opportunity to start over after only serving a short term. Why shouldn't they get a life sentence when what they have done is taken the innocence of a child and put an emotional hurt on them that will last them there entire life. We send and have been sending mixed signals in this country for years..

We should not be suprised this stuff has happened.

We tell kids sex can be dangerous then have girls use a cucumber in class to learn how to put on a rubber on a penis in case the guy forgets to bring one.

We tell guys women r to be respected.

then we tell women wearing a string up your butt and having nipple covers is sexy.

We say porn is bad.

Then every store or every convience store where we get gas porn can be seen behind the counter to buy.

Why is any porn allowed.. It is sick in itself.

We now as a society do not think anything of sexual scenes where a kids imagination can go wild on prime time tv and this is good programming.

Word that our grandparents would of washed out and many of u would do also wash out a kids mouth for the words that are said on tv.

Our children have been programmed to become spies against the parents.. They may be being abused and need to tell the state if they even think they are.

parents in turn become a little paranoid of how they disciple thier children because they may go to jail or loose thier careers.

The govt. we are told monitors billions of internet chats and sites everyday.

yet they can not stop child pornography from even going through the internet.

Now a parent can buy a program that will stop this kind of stuff from coming on thier computer.

Yet the govt. can not do the same thing with servers and isp's that send this stuff to whoever.

Just Block it. Go to your local library and see the program they have.

Yet we are helpless to stop this stuff because it comes from overseas.
