Worn out. Spent much of the morning on a last-minute job for some wanna-be suspense-thriller flick. It was about some stripper who gold-digs on some dude, ends up screwin' some other dude, and the both of them decide to set fire to the first dude's house.
Since they filmed much of the straight-to-DVD masterpiece in New Mexico (which is one of several states catering to the "lower-than-low-budget" range of film production), they hired some local dude who (from looking at at the footage they DID get while there) didn't seem to have the whole "intense fire" concept down. Among the scenes they DIDN'T get was a shot of a match (lit from said gold-digging stripper) falling down to a tile floor, which starts a trail of fire, which starts the already-filmed inferno going. Despite having three people present with their own ideas (the director, the director-of-photography, and the producer), they couldn't come up with a firm idea on what they wanted- Did they want a slim trail of fire that culminates to a large patch? Or did they just want a big ol' swatch of fire rambling through the tile floor? Did they want the trail of fire to go all the way across the floor? Or did they just want it to sorta stay at one particular place. You know... stuff like that. And THEN they'd change their minds once they "settled" on something. It wasn't HARD work by any means... just intellectually exhausting. And this all happened today... on a SATURDAY, no less. |

Believe me- you don't wanna have anything to do with what I have to deal with. There's nothing exciting about any of it... not in the least. It's all just a complete waste of time.

Yeah. You're in Missouri. Better watch out for the poisonous Giraffes and the Honey Badgers, too.

Ouch.
Ooh ooh ooh... make sure to watch out for the much-dreaded "one-eyed" vipers that pervade the rivers in and around Missouri, too. While they aren't poisonous, they DO spit venom! |
