anybody but the yankees, we say down south. the yankees are best team money can buy, but is so funny rays dont spend half of what yankees and red soxs spend, but still lead go rays.

Cleveland Indians!!!!!!!!!!...ever since I can remember...so we'll say 20 years. (hehehe, yes I did root for them when I was four). Baseball has been the one constant sport that I love and know way too much about and have collected way too many cards for.     
You are my kind of girl!  
I might not be after I tell my story of the first ever baseball game I went to when I was like seven or something...lets just say I didn't know when they told me to do the wave that it meant raise your arms above your head as you rose...my defense...there was NOT that many people in the old Indian's stadium at the time and so therefore the "wave" wouldn't have been really a wave. We seriously were the only people in our part of the stands. It was funny...especially going to what was Jacob's field when it first opened and seeing that stadium packed. 
It's just awesome that you were attending games in that old, empty place. I remember such players as Andre Thornton and Bake McBride from back them. Ahh, walks down memory lane. 
I love remembering those times...though lol I like remember 95-98 even better, but tis okay...we will pull it through again... *praying* I'm currently wearing a 1997 world series indians shirt...sad I know...ahhh but the memories

I think I'm the only Pittsburgh Pirates fan on this site. We were actually very good at one time -- trust me! What can I say, I've been a fan for more than 30 years -- I can't stop now! I just LOVE the game.

I just LOVE the game. Yeah, you guys were very good in the 70s (Clemente, Parker, Stargell, etc.) and even the late 80s, if memory serves correctly. Then, of course, you can go way back to the days of Ralph Kiner. Heck, you guys even won the only World Series to end in a walk-off homer (courtesy of Mr. Mazeroski).

The first game I watched was in the early 70's, and the Pirates were down 7- 0 in the bottom of the eighth. They came back and won. It was the most exciting thing I'd seen in my life, to that point! I was hooked! Yea, Charles, Clemente, Stargell, "The Cobra" Dave Parker, Al "Scoops" Oliver. They did have good players then. I was just little during the 60 World Series with Bill Mazeroski's walk off home run in game seven against the Yankees. But I do remember the hoopla, the songs on the radio, etc. They certainly don't play to that caliber now, but I still love the game. I love a good pitching duel and a game that goes back and forth the whole game! |

One of the sweetest swings I've ever seen from the right side of the plate.

Detroit Tigers!!!!!
Ever since I was a little kid. Even when they really, REALLY sucked. I particularly enjoyed watching them slap the Yankees around a couple of years ago.

Has anyone noticed that the Tampa Bay Rays have lost their best hitter, best athlete, closer, their catcher for three weeks, their best pitcher for three weeks and yet still overcome their youth, LILLIPUTIAN PAYROLL and inexperience to be the best team in baseball right now?
