you don't get to approve people adding you to their favorites! They just do it!

they keep you to "use" your profile pictures later .......
maybe they just dont know what to say and are hopeing by doing that you'll write to them if you like them

Some possibly like you, but are too shy to contact you. Others may be a little more scary than that unfortunately

I delete them sometimes or send a mail message asking why they added me. I make it utterly ridiculous.... rant and rave in a silly way about my favorite things and people and how I talk to my favorite people and such....

I've got two lists on my profile, favorites and friends, just like the rest of you. My favorites file I use to put in profiles of people I may or may not get the nerve to actually ask out. My friends are people that I enjoy talking to on a regular basis, and that I generally think are nice folks. I'd still like to meet some of my friends, maybe a date (they all are women), but most live well over 500 miles away. Favorites, well they live a little closer.

So, I guess I'm saying I add women to my favs catagory because I'm too chicken to just write the letter at the time. Just remember, some people use the tools of the site different than others, so it might not be a big deal. I started using my "favorites" catagory like that when Gretchen set this thing up for me. She sat down with me and looked over several profiles, and started adding the ones she thought I should talk to to favs. I just kept doing it that way. Amazingly enough, everyone that she put in that catagory actually wrote me back. The ones I put in there didn't. Maybe I should go to Oregon again and see if she could find me a few more???

So what is that feature really for anyway? I mean if they are on your friends list do they need to also be on favorites. I've used it when I see someones profile that I like and basicly bookmark them so i can go back and check them out later, maybe see when they are online to make a contact. Have you ever seen a profile that you liked but didn't write them and later on wondered about that person but can't find them again.
