I'm working on a friend's rock-theatre show - a scaled down version of
Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' for a small theatre concert. My role is to do
the video effects. If you've seen the movie you'll understand what I'll
be asking for, but, even without seeing the movie, I'd still love to
hear your suggestions:

In the movie the anti-hero has a drug trip where he envisions himself as
a fascist hero. He mentally blurs concerts into fascist neo-nazi
political rallies. Then he has a nervous breakdown.

So while the band is playing these sections, I'm going to be running the
projector making a video-'slide-show' of a fascist propaganda
infomercial. The question is, "What would a fascist infomercial really
contain?"

Showing pictures of mussilini, hitler, or bush, etc wouldn't work -
because thats just not what a pro-fascist organization would want you to
beleive. My target is to gather some themes, ideas, pictures and video
clips from youTube, throw'em together into a 3 to 10 minute long segment
that will be shown as a backdrop to the concert. I also have other
segments to create that should overlap and share in the same theme.

I'm open to your ideas, questions and suggestions.

well you need to have the marching hammers that part is key..if i were
doing it id try and get a copy of the animation sequences.cause the are
such integral parts to the story as a whole.

Excellent answer, lions!

And Mike: I wish I was where ever you all are putting this on, sounds
like it's going to be *wonderful!*

Thanks guys - I've already ripped the DVD to pull the "key" animation
sequences out. Hammers, Trial, and "Goodbye Blue Sky" are already in the
show for sure.

But, if you remember the movie, when Pink is making his "are there any
.... in the theatre tonight? ...get them up against the wall" rally -
[In The Flesh Part 2] thats where my propaganda peice will be shown -
and I want it to be something snarky, something thoughtful, something
subtle - maybe plainly funny. Just not heavy-handed like "BUSH=FACIST"
[or whatever your political persuasion is].

So - if you think of what sort of obnoxious crap a Fascist would try to
sell, thats what I'm interested in hearing.
