There is a difference in innocent flirting on here in open and actually deceiving somebody. If this person said the other person didn't mean anything and invited you to meet him, and then tells this other person same thing...that is a PLAYER..that is not innocent flirting. totally agree

If he was flirtous when you first started talking to him, then it could just be his personality or online personality. Talk to him about it and see what his response is and go from there.
I am seriously talking with someone, I still flirt on here, but not as much. However, if I get an email from someone I am clear that I am already taken. Anytime you have questions about someone's sincerity online, take time to see if that is a valid concern before going any further. good luck! |

ORRRR They could be doing some "SERIOUS flirting" with more than one person and leading everyone to believe they are the only one they are interested in. Well, he did state that he was interested in the one person, I think, based on the earlier posts. Ultimately, if it's unclear, just ask. Too many fish in the sea and all that to waste your time. IF he stated that he is only interested in getting to know YOU, and not someone else, and invited you to visit, then he should not be flirting seriously with other people. We all joke, but you can tell when it is serious flirting. At least anyone with a brain can. |

HEY you don't need an engagement ring if the person says he wants a committed relationship adn doesn't want you to talk to anyone else in a serious manner either! is that the case here? did he say he wanted a committed relationship and for her not to talk to anyone else. if i missed that post then i'm sorry. of course you would think the commitment would come AFTER the in person meeting. |

I have found it helpful to go back through the threads a bit to see the flirting habits of someone you develop an interest in...so you are prepared for their flirtations with those they've been flirting with prior or later. Words are words, after all, no one can presume the meaning behind them without further communication. I have found that serious or playful can easily be misread by desirous eyes. It's something I believe helps me to keep some perspective anyway.
